The 'FIT Squad had a long and very eventful weekend....Let's Review!!
Friday....
Lead Stylist, Dinah was privileged to attend a wonderful event in Charlotte, NC. The event was hosted by Ryan Jor-el (@StylingsbyRC) and it featured Charlotte area stylists competing to win a professional photo shoot with a well-known hair stylist and fashion photographer.
The Charlotte #StylistShowcase was held at the AKA Creative and was co-hosted by the beautiful Miss NC USA 2013 Ashley Mills (@realmissncusa).
The Winner......."Futuristic" styled by Mr. Black Excellence
The People's Choice winner was Fairy Tale by stylist Amanda Stewart of Lavish Her Boutique

Not to Mention we were treated and serenaded by the handsome Mr Alvin Garrett...Grammy-Nominated songwriter and crooner....This guy is good!! The Alvin Garrett is where you can find his music..he has an awesome voice and great..down-to-earth personality!!!..Dinah also ran into Shavar Hayes of The Session Magazine...Raleigh's Own lifestyle magazine!

Saturday...
The 'FIT Squad lead stylist...Dinah Pittman had the honor of attending the Lesson In Swank stylist workshop taught by renown celebrity fashion stylist Olori Swank!!! The lady with the blue hair is known for styling celebrities such as Keisha Cole, Tyrese Gibson, Lance Gross, Dawn Richards (of Diddy Dirty Money and formerly of Danity Kane)...and a host of other A-listers...
"Olori was awesome and so down-to-earth..she kept it real with all the students in the workshop and shared insider style information on the business of Fashion Styling...I would recommend taking this class to anyone who is aspiring to be a stylist...well worth it..." -Dinah Pittman, lead stylist of The 'Fit Squad.

Lead stylist Dinah Pittman, attended a special family event to celebrate her grandmother's big move from her home town of Rocky Mount, NC (been there 87 years)...to Raleigh...closer to the rest of the family...
The 'Fit for the Day..."The Royal Mint"...
She paired a Mint green and white striped sheer button-up (It's Fashion. $15.99) with a thrifted royal blue midi pleated skirt (Thrift. $3.99)...capped with a pair of bone colored Michael brand pumps..(off-broadway shoe warehouse in Charlotte, NC..~$53.00)...She topped off the 'Fit with 2 pearl necklaces (both thrifted.$1 and $.60. value village..Charlotte, NC)

Helen Hunt..We are not sure what to think...We hate to be shallow..but out of all the wonderfully talented designers (even emerging designers) you could have chosen from...she decided to wear a dress that any average Jane could go and purchase...H & M??!? Really??...that is not approved...Let's do better...we would have even felt better if she had worn a dress from a student designer...
