With the Holiday Season at hand, we wanted to give you some great reasonably priced ideas for styling for your upcoming Holiday Extravaganzas...

These looks can be for any occasion; whether it's a winter formal, a party for your church, a corporate holiday party, or a night out holiday night out to party......Here are a few picks that we found that will make you look fabulous but not break your pockets...We have pulled out some great looks for ladies and gentlemen who want to look great during the Holiday season and beyond...

LADIES

Here are a few dresses from JC Penney's that will make you dazzle at your holiday gathering this year...

We have also chosen some looks from JC Penney's collaboration with Nina Garcia, in which she chooses her favorite looks...Here are some of her collections that could be translated during the holidays...

Lace                                                      Little Black Dress                                      Black and White

For my fellow PLUSH FASHIONEERS....

Here is a little something from H&M and Forever 21's plus size lines for the holidays...Sure there is a lot of black and white...but you can jazz these pieces up by adding a colored bottom (pants, pencil skirt) or layering a colored camp or shirt under...You can also add a printed piece to add some eye appeal...To dazzle these pieces, add a sparkled earring, bracelet or necklace, this takes the 'FIT to another more sophisticated level.

Gentlemen

Guys we haven't forgotten you...Here are a few pieces and looks that would look great for your holiday soirees. We have picked out favorite looks from H&M Mens that are affordable and create some a great visual pictures for the holidays...

Great Sweaters for Him
Guys you can't go wrong with an awesome sweater paired with a pair of chinos, jeans, or dress pants. A nice cardigan always adds some texture and sophistication to any 'fit. Here are some options from H&M that would work great for you...

Suits for every Occaision
Another look that a man should always have is a suit. A suit will work for any occasion because you can dress it up with a nice tie (traditional or bow) and pocket square for a more formal event. On the other hand you can take the tie off and pair it with a nice button-up shirt and a cool pair of casual sneakers for a more laid back look.

This weeks 'FIT FRIDAY is a little different.....

We have an announcement and 'HOPE' (you will understand why we emphasize this word as you read further) that you will support the cause....

Not sure if everyone is aware that every DECEMBER 1 we celebrate WORLD AIDS DAY!!..

This day is set aside to make ourselves more AWARE of the disease that IMPACTS the entire world...

Around 100,000 people are currently living with HIV in the UK(alone) and globally an estimated 34 million people have HIV...between 1981 and 2007 over 25 million people have died from the virus.*

Even more, 97% of those living with HIV reside in low and middle income counties, particularly in SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA...**

...DECEMBER 1 is set aside to provide global awareness and also commemorate those we have lost, and those living through the battle with AIDS...

Here's where you come in....

THE 'FIT Squad has designed a few shirts that we will sell starting on NOVEMBER 15th to encourage those living with HIV/AIDS that there is still HOPE...

Here is a Preview of the designs:

Friends will have a few color ways to choose from and also the choose of a T-shirt, or a Crew neck Sweatshirt (it IS getting cold...right?!)

With the sales of these shirts we will donate a percentage to the WORLD AIDS DAY organization which supports HIV/AIDS research and awareness...

On 12.1.13 we will post the grand total of our donations!!!

SO PLEASE SUPPORT THE CAUSE....HIV/AIDS may not affect you personally, but in some way it IMPACTS the WORLD........

'FIT TIP: PRINT MIXING

Hey 'Fit Friends...

It's time for your 'FIT Tip for this week!! (this makes up for Friday 10/25)

Before we give the tipwe like to always give our 'Fit DisclaimerThese are tips that The 'Fit Squad has put together to help all of our 'Fit Friends. You may not have the same personal style. So PLEASE take the tips as they are and CREATE a look that fits into your own personal style. This is merely to give INSPIRATION... (IF you need help with STYLING to fit you personally, CONTACT US; THE 'FIT SQUAD can help!!!)

NOW...

ON TO THE TIP OF THE WEEK....

MIXING PRINTS

Print Mixing is an art form that, when done the right way, can create a unique and sophisticated 'Fit. Many people have attempted mixing patterns, but only a few have succeeded with a look that did not seem like they just threw something together and said it was their style; it was mixed well and strategically styled. When it comes to mixing prints, you have to be very careful with your choices and even more confident to be able to pull off the look. When we put looks together that mix patterns, many people's response would be, "I never thought to put that together, but it looks good!" Since we have been able to get this reaction we must be doing something right. So to help you style a mixed pattern look we are going to share with you some of the things we keep in mind. Here are a few tips that we have for pulling off an Fashionably Fused 'Fit with Mixed Prints.

Tip#1
SPLIT IT UP!!.
One way to successfully pull off mixing prints is to spread it out throughout your 'fit. For example, if you have a funky print top, wear a neutral bottom, and then mix another pattern in with your shoes.

Tip#2
COLOR-SCHEME IT!
So you can choose a set of colors that you want to wear and choose different prints to mix up...For example, black and white...You can mix black & white stripes with black & white houndstooth. To break it up, add a pop of color.

Tip#3-
PICK A COLOR, ANY COLOR!!..
Choose a color in one print to match up with another print that has a more simple pattern.
For example, take a floral print, chose one color our of that print. Find a piece with a simpler print, like stripes, where that color is the most bold.

The Guy's Version...

Guys, try a patterned button up or blazer and mix in a funky printed sock. This will split up the patterns that you are putting together. Here is a great example of this from The X-Stylez:An All Men's Fashion Guide blog for men's fashion... (click on the picture to visit the site)

Guys, try mixing a graphic sweater/t-shirt and layer it with a plaid/check button up, pulling from the colors of the graphic shirt. Then pair it with a colored chino or jean. Another BOLD way to pull this off is pairing your graphic tee or sweat shirt...This is a simple mix of prints!!

Guys, another simple print mix; you can mix a striped (or other pattern) dress shirt, and a tie or scarf of a different print. Add a pair of jeans or Khakis and a solid blazer to neutralize the look and you are successful...
